How do I Change Domain Name Servers at EasySpace?

Before changing the name servers associated with your domain, please note the warning below!

If you are changing the name servers associated with your domain, please note the following services will be affected:

  • Email services
  • Website
  • Redirection or Web Linking
  • Zone records configured using IP pointing

It is not necessary to change registrars when changing who you choose to host your website. You can host your domain with one registrar and have your domain registered with another. To change the name servers associated with your domain, complete the following steps:

  1. From the control panel homepage, choose your domain and click "Go".
  2. Select "Nameserver Settings".
  3. Enter the new Name server details for the domain and click "Submit".

If you wish to use our nameservers, you can use the "Default to our nameservers" option. If you are transferring a domain registered elsewhere to our nameservers, you should use the following details: 

Primary Name Server: ns1.namecity.com (62.128.193.35) 
Secondary Name Server: ns2.namecity.com (84.22.161.171)

How to Customise the Webmail Portal at EasySpace?

  1. Login your webmail and click on "Portal"
  2. There are 6 default widgets:
    • Inbox
    • Appointments
    • Tasks
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Birthdays

    You can move these by clicking widget and moving it to a new location

  3. By clicking "Add Widget" and a new widget from the dropdown you can furhter customise your portal
  4. You can disable widgets by clicking th "X" at the top left of the widget box
  5. You can amend colour schemes and fully manage the portal page by clicking "Customise this page"

How to Fix "500 Internal Server Error" of My WordPress Site?

The most common cause of a 500 Internal Server Error message is a corrupt .htaccess file. Additional causes can be a conflicting plugin or theme, or even a corrupt WordPress installation.

You will need FTP access on your server. Navigate to the root directory of your WordPress installation, and locate the .htaccess file. Rename the file to, let us say, something like .htaccess_old

Now reload your website. If it works, congratulations! You can now generate a new .htaccess file simply by navigating to Setting > Permalinks in your WP admin panel and re-saving the settings.

The Approval email will be sent to the authorized domain name owner or controller. When you apply for your certificate we will attempt to obtain the authorized domain contacts for your domain name. You may then choose to have the approval email sent to either the authorized domain contact, or alternatively you will be able to choose a generic domain contact such as:

  • administrator@yourdomain.com
  • hostmaster@yourdomain.com
  • postmaster@yourdomain.com

Can a Domain Name be Cancelled or Changed After Registration?

Once a domain has been registered, it is generally not possible to cancel or change this.

If you have registered a new domain name with the wrong details or have made a spelling error that you wish to correct, please contact EasySpace customer service directly for further assistance. Depending on the domain extension, EasySpace may be able to offer a solution.

An existing domain cannot be cancelled outright, it can only be set to cancel on the next expiry date. The EasySpace Customer Services team will be able to process this for you, they can be contacted by phone or by submitting a question through your online helpdesk.

When I Complete the SSL Steps, But I Cannot View My Website Over SSL.

This error will occur when your webserver, firewall or network has not been correctly configured to serve pages over SSL.

Check the following:

  1. Your certificate has been installed for the correct website
  2. Your private key is not corrupt or has not been accidentally deleted
  3. You have assigned port 443 as the SSL port on your webserver
  4. You have opened port 443 for SSL traffic on your firewall or router
  5. You have correctly configured your DNS settings on your network

What is Domain's Redemption?

The Redemption Period is a Registry-imposed hold period for domains that occurs after the registrar has instructed the Registry that the domain should be dropped.

Domains will have reached the Redemption Period state if they have been EXPIRED for at least 40 days and were NOT renewed by the owner or the registrar. Normally domains would be deleted at this point, but the Redemption Period provides the owner with one last chance to recover the domain before it’s dropped and potentially re-registered by a new owner.

The Redemption process is costly, both in fees and in effort. We strongly recommend that you renew your domains before expiry, or during the grace period when a renewal can be conducted in real time and for no additional cost.

What's the Requirements When I Register .de / .eu / .fr / .it / .uk Domain?

Generally, when you register domain at EasySpace, you just be asked Contact Name, Full Postal Address, Contact Telephone Number and Contact Email. But for some extensions there are additional requirements. The belows are the extra requirements for .de / .eu / .fr / .it / .uk domain registration.

  • .de – must provide a valid address in Germany to be used as the admin contact.
  • .eu – must provide a valid address within the European Union.
  • .fr – must provide a valid address within the European Union. Where the legal registrant is an individual we need the date and country of birth (if the country of birth is France, we also need the city). Where the legal registrant is a company, we need the VAT or SIRET/SIREN number.
  • .it – must provide a valid address within the European Union. Where the legal registrant is a company, we need the VAT number.
  • .uk - legal registrant names must be a minimum of 4 characters, and at least 3 of them must be letters (a-z A-Z).
