The badges displayed in Rover search results and on sitter profile pages are visual symbols of their love of dogs and commitment to high-quality care.

You’ll spot other badges on Rover—as well as a few ribbons—but the most important are the Background Check and Rover 101 badges.

For privacy reasons, Rover doesn’t display a sitter’s contact information until you’ve booked with them.

If you’ve started a conversation on Rover with a sitter or dog walker but haven’t yet booked a service, they may choose to share their phone number and address with you—especially if you decide to arrange a Meet & Greet.

At Rover's love for animals extends way beyond dogs. So while dogs are at the heart of what we do, you’ll find sitters on Rover who care for cats too!

Completely filling out your dog’s profile is one of the best things you can do to make sure your dog has a great time while you’re away. Be sure to include vital information like:

• Vet contact information
• Daily care instructions
• Your dog’s habits

What you write in your dog’s profile will be shared with your sitter or dog walker after you book, that way, they can care for your dog just like you would.
