If traveling with an emotional support animal, a letter from your physician is still required as well.

Yes, should you wish to travel on an earlier flight, on the same day of your scheduled fight, you may choose the standby option while at the airport. There is a charge of $99.00 per person for this option.
Misspelling - If you need a minor correction to a misspelled name (e.g., Feline vs. Filene), you may be eligible for a free name change. Please contact one of our reservations centers at least 7 days prior to initial departure.
Legal Name Change – You may email us your request detailing the name change reason along with supporting documentation to Spirit’s Guest Relations Department at spirit.com/help. There a place on the bottom of the web form where you can attach your documents.

This is because the added weight requires more gas for the plane. One personal item that fits entirely in the smaller sizer box (like a purse, small backpack, etc.) is included with your ticket. Another personal item or anything larger like a standard carry-on or checked bag will need to be paid for.
