When Will My NOOK Ship?

You can find out the expected shipping date of your NOOK by checking the status of your order at  Click on My Account in the upper right corner, and choose Order Status. Sign in to your account or enter your order number.  The expected ship date will be listed under Shipping Status.

You'll receive an email when your order ships.

Please note: Your expected ship date will be available in your order status approximately 60 minutes from the time you placed your order.

What It the "Changes to the Free Shipping Program"?

Barnes & may change or discontinue Free Shipping at any time in its sole discretion. However, you would still receive Free Shipping for any eligible purchases made prior to any change to the Free Shipping program.

I Want to Return Items Bought In Barnes & Noble Stores, How to Do It?

To return an item within 14 days of purchase simply bring the item and your cash register receipt to your local Barnes & Noble store for a refund to your original form of payment. Please contact your local store for more details.

Please Note: If you used PayPal to complete your order, the store will provide a Barnes & Noble Gift Card or in-store credit.

What is the Refund and Return Policies?

Refunds and returns can only be processed when eligible items are returned using the appropriate method. If your return is shipped or brought to a store after the timeframes indicated below or without a packing slip, Barnes & Noble regrets that they cannot issue a refund or send the merchandise back to you.

When Will the Items Deliver If I Bought Items With Different Expected Delivery Times?

If your Shopping Bag contains items with different expected delivery times, you will have the opportunity to choose your delivery preference from the two options below:

  1. “Send everything in as few packages as possible” holds your order until all items are available to ship (including pre-orders). This minimizes shipping costs, but it means that you will have to wait longer for your order. NOTE: Even though you have chosen to ship your order together, we may still be required to send more than one package at no extra charge. (The following items are always shipped separately: Marketplace, Magazines, and Gift Cards.)
  2. “Send each item as it is available” may increase your shipping costs, but you'll receive your items as quickly as possible.

How Do I Qualify for Free Standard Shipping On Orders?

  1. Add at least $25 (before tax is applied) worth of eligible items to your bag.  Each eligible item should have an "Eligible for FREE SHIPPING" message near the "Add to Bag" button on the product page.
  2. Proceed to Checkout and be sure that the pre-selected "Standard Delivery" and "Send everything in as few packages as possible" options are chosen.
  3. Complete your Checkout.
