iFixit FAQ

What are the Payment Options Of iFixit?

Credit & Debit Cards

  • iFixit accepts credit/debit cards including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
  • If you are paying by credit or debit card, your statement will show a charge from 'IFIXIT'. When using your credit card, you will be billed in USD Currency and your credit card company will bill you in your local currency at the current exchange rate.
  • iFixit is unable to accept prepaid gift cards at this time.

PayPal

  • iFixit accepts PayPal.
  • To ensure security and quick service, iFixit will require shipping an order to an address that is eligible for PayPal Seller Protection. Please ensure that the address provided to PayPal matches the shipping address that was provided to iFixit. If there is a mismatch, then the order may be delayed until additional verification can be provided.

Apple Pay
In 2016 iFixit started accepting Apple Pay.

How Can I Check My Order Status At iFixit?

It's easy to check the status of your order:

  1. Log In to your iFixit account.
  2. Click on your Username in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Select Order History in the drop-down menu.

How Do I View Or Print Invoices?

Once an order is placed, an invoice associated with your order is generated inside your iFixit account. You can view, save or print individual invoices for each order in the Order History of your iFixit account.

To find your invoice:

  1. Login to your iFixit account.
  2. Navigate to your Order History.
  3. Click the Order # for the invoice(s) in question.
  4. This will generate a PDF that you can view, save or print.

I Didn't Get Any Emails! Why?

If you have placed an order with iFixit but you haven't received any emails, then there may be a couple issues.

If you haven't already, check your Spam or Junk folder. Filters can be overly aggressive causing legitimate emails to be lost.

If you are still logged into your account, check your email address here. Sometimes the incorrect email address is provided or there is a typo. Be sure to double check it.

If you no longer have access to the account, contact iFixit, and iFixit can try to locate the account for you.

Please note: For security reasons we may require additional verification before providing access to your account.

When is More Stock Coming In?

If an item is currently out of stock on our website, fear not! iFixit is likely to get it back in stock soon. Occasionally, some parts such as logic boards or older generation parts may not be as readily available as some newer parts.

Please Note: Your best bet is to sign up on the notify list via the product page when an item is out of stock. This way you'll be set to receive an email notification as soon as they become available again.

In late 2014, iFixit begans receiving used parts from an electronics recycler that gleans working parts from devices they receive. The supply of these parts is extremely volatile due to the fact that they do not know which old devices will be donated or sold to them. This is the case for many of our non-Apple parts.

Do iFixit Offer Repairs?

iFixit love their customers and empowering people to fix their own things, but they do NOT offer repair as a service. However, there may be an independent repair shop or technician which participates in their iFixit Pro wholesale program that may be able to assist.
