Mpix FAQ

How to View My Order History?

Mpix makes it easy to track your orders with our Order History tool. Once in the Mpix site you can click ‘my account’ on the top navigation bar, and then click Order History. Instantly you have order numbers, dates, details of your order, and tracking information. Tracking is only available with UPS orders.

How Do I Cancel My Order at Mpix?

Mpix allows you a 30 minute window to cancel all orders. Go to the Your Account section and choose Order History. In the list of all your orders, click the "cancel" link next to the corresponding order.

Why Two Different Tabs In My Cart?

There are two different tabs because Print orders have a different internal workflow than Press orders. Having separate carts allows Mpix to reduce the likelihood of fulfillment errors, and is done to ensure the fastest delivery for Prints and Press products. When you Checkout, all items your Print and Press carts will be included in your order for one shipping charge.

How Can I Get the Best Print From My Photo?

"Image resolution" is a fancy term that refers to how many pixels will fit inside each inch of paper when printed. In order for you to get a premium quality Print, your photo needs to have a certain number of pixels. Mpix's software will notify you if your image does not meet our minimum requirement, but here’s a helpful chart that gives you the minimum and optimal resolution for every size Mpix offers. If you still aren’t confident, email Mpix at customerservice@mpix.com and a member of Mpix's team will take a look at your photos before you submit your order.

What is the Next Day Shipping Policy?

In most cases if Mpix receiveS orders by 11:00AM CST they should ship out the same day. Please know that finishing services and mixing paper types within the same order take additional processing time. Ordering Expedited (UPS) delivery service ensures when an order is shipped (not placed) it will be delivered on the next business day. Saturday delivery is not available. Purchasing this delivery service does not guarantee your order will ship the same day as received. Mpix has no way to guarantee shipping or delivery times. Most orders ship within 24 hours as advertised on the site. However, during the holidays some orders can take longer than others depending on the incoming volume, size, paper type, etc.

What are My Order Options?

Checking out your shopping cart
When you checkout, all items in your Print and Press carts will be included in your order for one shipping charge.

Color Correction
Mpix's color technicians review every image and make slight adjustments to density, color, contrast, and other elements of your files on monitors that are calibrated directly with our printers. When you "Do Not Color Correct" your images, the images are not adjusted by our color technicians and are sent directly to our printer.

Die-cut wallets
Mpix's wallets will arrive with rounded corners (or die-cut) by default. Be sure to click “Preview” in the shopping cart to check for cropping issues. If you prefer that your wallets are not die-cut, you can uncheck the box under the Order Options section in the checkout process. You can also add text to your wallets. Once added to the cart, click “edit” then click “Add Text” above the image preview.

Can I Add Text In Photoshop Before Upload?

Mpix is not able to add text to prints. The majority of Mpix's customers choose to add text in Photoshop before uploading. Mpix recommends allowing 1/8" from the edge of the print for die cutting.

What is Your Phone Number?

Avoid long hours on hold. For the quickest and most effective customer service, all inquiries are done via email. Simply email us at customerservice@mpix.com and you will receive a reply within minutes at almost any hour.

Does Mpix Offer Custom Sizing?

Mpix's printers will only print to the aspect ratio of our standard print sizes. You will need to crop your image to Mpix's standard sizes before uploading to ensure the correct cropping is done. If you have images that are not sized to our standard print sizes you will have to place them on a canvas in Photoshop to get the desired sizes. Example: a 9x12 image would be placed on an 11x14 canvas (white border) in Photoshop to get the custom print size.

My Image Uploads As Scrambled Lines. Why?

This is because your image is in CMYK or grayscale mode. Mpix is able to print from RGB files only. You can change this by opening your image in Photoshop and going to Image-Mode.

Why Can I Not Print My Full Image?

Mpix is unable to offer a full frame printing feature. It is mathematically impossible for Mpix's printers to avoid cropping on files that do not meet the aspect ratio of the print size ordered. Mpix suggests ordering print sizes (example: 8x12 vs. 8x10) that allow more cropping room. The red crop box will show you how your image will be printed.
