How to Deal With My Multiple Packages?

Shutterfly aims, where possible, to consolidate products in your order when they ship them out. However, for your convenience and to expedite your order, Shutterfly may ship your order in multiple packages at no additional cost.

When Shutterfly ships your order in multiple packages, these packages may arrive separately. Nonetheless, you should still receive your entire order within the estimated delivery date.

Does Shutterfly Offer International Shipping?

Shutterfly ships internationally to over 100 countries around the world. Shipping prices and transit time varies by country. Shutterfly uses a delivery expediting service that delivers directly to the destination country's mail service. This service is as fast or faster than airmail. Estimated delivery times to international addresses are 10-12 business days from when the order is shipped.

  • Major cities and industrial areas will be a bit faster; rural and non-industrialized areas may be a bit slower.
  • During holiday periods, there may be additional delays due to volume. We are not responsible for such delays.
  • International shipments may be subject to taxes, duties, or other customs fees upon delivery. The recipient is responsible for any such fees at the point of delivery.
  • International shipping orders do not have a tracking number.

How to Update Mac Software?

If you are on a Mac and are experiencing difficulties with their site you may need to update your Mac software. Follow the below steps to update your Mac.

  1. Click on the Apple logo on the top left corner of your computer screen
  2. Choose "Software Update..."
  3. The system will check your software for updates. If you are already up to date you will get a "Your software is already up to date" message. If you are not up to date you will see what updates are available to you. Click the "Install" button to update your computer. This may require a computer restart so make sure you save all your unsaved work.

Please note that depending on the frequency of your updates this may take up to 30 minutes to complete.

What is Digital Camera Resolution Settings?

Many digital cameras allow you to select from a choice of image resolutions. Shutterfly recommends that you always use the highest resolution setting that your digital camera allows if you plan to make prints. Similarly, many digital cameras also allow you to choose the amount of JPEG compression. The compression levels are frequently listed as Normal or Basic, Fine, and Superfine (or sometimes High Quality).

Shutterfly recommends either the Fine or Superfine setting; using the Fine setting will reduce the file size at the expense of slightly reduced image quality. The specifics of setting the digital camera resolution and JPEG compression level can be found in the user manual for your digital camera.

For large-format prints (11x14, 16x20, and 20x30), you can help to ensure the best possible print by using an image that is 3 megapixels or larger.

Does Shutterfly Accept Dark Photo?

Unfortunately, the site does not currently let you lighten or darken your photos. If your photo appears dark (or has the potential to be dark because it was taken indoors, at night, or with the sun behind the subject) you may want to use photo-editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, to lighten the image a bit.

What is the Shutterfly Guarantee?

Shutterfly gets how important your memories are to you. Those moments from your wedding, your kid’s first birthday, their first day of school—they’re priceless.

And since you’ve trusted us with those memories, Shutterfly promise to let you store an unlimited amount of photos for free. And, Shutterfly will securely store all those photos at the same resolution at which you uploaded them. They also promise they will never delete them (not even the embarrassing ones).

Shutterfly wants you to love the Shutterfly photo books, cards, calendars, prints, posters and photo gifts you create with your photos. They want you to be excited when you see a bright-orange Shutterfly package in the mail, because you know some amazing memories are waiting inside.
