Currently, students who reside in the European Union (EU), South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia will be charged VAT (Value Added Tax) or GST (Goods & Services Tax) when they purchase a course.
Due to international tax and compliance laws we are not permitted to change the currency of an account, from the one that is for the nation you are currently residing or located in.
However, if you reside in a different nation than the one your Udemy account was created in, and are presently located in the country of your residence, please contact our support team so we can assist you further.
The currency is set based on the IP location of where your Udemy account was created. If your account is created in a region with a currency Udemy does not currently support, then by default, you will see prices set in USD.
All instructors, regardless of location, have the option of setting a new course price in any of Udemy’s supported currencies.
If you're browsing courses and want to ask a question before you enroll, send the instructor a question from the course landing page.
Udemy sends out a confirmation email whenever you enroll in a course. So, as an initial step, please ensure that you are logged into the same email account that is registered to your Udemy account, and that you received an enrollment confirmation email for the course. Be sure to check your Junk mail folder if you don’t see the enrollment confirmation email in your inbox.
If you don’t see a confirmation email, this could indicate that you purchased the course while logged into Udemy with a different email address (see below), or that the purchase was not completed. Udemy also advises checking your banking information or your PayPal account to verify the purchase was processed.
