Certain products sold by Vitacost for delivery to the following states are subject to sales tax:  

• California
• Colorado 
• Florida
• Illinois
• Nevada
• North Carolina
• Texas

If a product is subject to sales tax in the state to which the order will be shipped, tax is calculated on the total selling price of each individual taxable product. In accordance with state tax laws, the total selling price of a product will generally include applicable product-level discounts and allocation of order-level discounts.  

Additionally, shipping charges may be subject to sales tax in accordance with state tax laws. The amount of tax charged on your order will depend upon many factors, including the type of product(s) purchased and destination of the shipment.  

Please note: Because factors can change between the time your order is placed and the time your credit card is charged, the final sales tax amount may differ from the original estimate.

Vitacost has fulfillment centers located in Lexington, North Carolina and Las Vegas, Nevada. It's possible that items within the same order could have shipped from both of the fulfillment centers.

All prices are subject to change and are not confirmed until the time of purchase, which is why you may see an item fluctuate in price in your shopping cart.

1. First, log into your account and click the Promo Pocket tab.  
2. If you have available promo codes in your Promo Pocket, you'll see them in the "Promo Code" field. Copy this code (highlight and click ctrl+C) and paste it at checkout. Happy saving!

If your card is declined during checkout, don't panic.  

Be sure to double-check the following to ensure you entered them correctly: 

• Expiration date
• Security code/CVV (Card Verification Value)
• Billing address - does it exactly match the one on file for your card?

If everything looks correct, Vitacost will ask that you contact your bank or credit card company; unfortunately, Vitacost cannot provide an explanation for why it was declined.

First, you'll need to create a PayPal account if you don't have one already. Then, log in and make sure all information in your PayPal account is up-to-date. Fill your cart with healthy goodies and click "Checkout". At checkout, select "Pay using PayPal or PayPal credit" - this will take you to the PayPal website where you can complete the transaction.

Vitacost accepts credit & debit cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or JCB logo, as well as PayPal (available in select countries) and UnionPay credit cards (with a UnionPay logo on front and card number starting with “62”). 

Vitacost does not accept checks as a form of payment.  

Please note: If you're checking out with a promo code (nice!), be sure to use the PayPal feature at checkout, NOT the PayPal Express feature on the cart page.
