Each dress is carefully tailored to match exactly what you see in the photos, and unfortunately Lightinthebox is unable to modify the style, length or material in any way. All dresses are Made-To-Order. Whether you ordered a standard or custom size, your dress will still need Tailoring Time. Handcrafting each dress to order allows us to ensure that each dress we create meets our stringent quality standards. The most time-consuming part of creating your dress is also what makes it so exquisite—the beading, embroidering, ruching, and attaching of appliqués. Each of these processes is done by hand. Finally, Lightinthebox sew the lining and boning of your dress to ensure that it stays as beautiful as you will be on your special day. The best part is, Lightinthebox is still able to custom tailor your dress and ship it out to you in less time than many other dress retailers. The best way to ensure a stress-free shopping experience is to allow plenty of time for tailoring and shipping periods, plus additional time to try on the dress and make any necessary alterations once it arrives.
Made-to-order means that all dresses, whether a standard or custom size, are tailored just for you once you place your order. This means that we don’t have a factory full of machine made dresses, instead they are all crafted by our highly skilled tailors.
You can estimate your shipping costs at any time by clicking on the shopping cart logoshopping cart logo and then proceeding to “Estimate Shipping Costs”.
Lightinthebox will give you an estimate of how much it shipping will cost for each of different shipping methods. Please note, this is only an estimate and actual shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.
Calculating when your order will arrive is easy! You can calculate a delivery estimate by taking the processing time for your order and adding the transit time based on the shipping method you've chosen. Let's say you order a faucet. To calculate when to expect it, you would go to the faucet's product detail page and find the "Processing Time" estimate. You would then add this estimate to the "Shipping Time" estimate for your chosen shipping method to get the total time until your order arrives.
Many items are marked "Ships in 24hrs", meaning that those items are guaranteed to leave our warehouse within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Therefore, the Processing Time for these items will be less than 1 business day. Be sure to look for the icon to take advantage of faster processing time.
Once an order has shipped out, Lightinthebox will send you a Shipping Confirmation Email that includes your Tracking Number. To check the status of your package, please click on the link and it will redirect you to UPS, DHL or other shipping vendor's website. This function allows you to track your package using the tracking code provided in the email.
Lightinthebox accepts a variety of payment methods.
If you would like to make changes to your order, Lightinthebox will recommend cancelling your order; then, proceed to place a new order. Please note that while most of our products can be cancelled up until they are shipped, certain products cannot be cancelled for restocking/processing fees may apply.
Most products can be cancelled up until they are shipped for a full refund. If your order status is Draft or Pending, you can easily delete/cancel your order by yourself. If your order status is “Processing”, you can select “cancel this order” to cancel your order. Unfortunately, once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled.
